Privacy Policy

Overview

GridTime is a free, read-only web application that displays Formula 1 race schedules and results. We are committed to your privacy. In short: we do not collect, store, or sell any personal data.

Data We Do Not Collect

  • No account creation or login — no name, email, or password
  • No advertising or third-party tracking
  • No analytics services (e.g. Google Analytics)
  • No cookies of any kind
  • No device fingerprinting

Timezone & Local Time

Session times are converted to your local timezone entirely inside your browser using the standard JavaScript Intl.DateTimeFormat API. Your timezone is never sent to our servers or any third party.

Race Data

Schedule and results data is fetched server-side from the publicly available Jolpica F1 API (an open, community-maintained endpoint based on the Ergast Motor Racing Data API). No personal information is sent to this API — it only receives anonymous server requests for schedule data.

Progressive Web App (PWA) & Service Worker

GridTime can be installed as a PWA. The service worker caches static assets and race data locally on your device to enable offline access. This cache contains only application code and public F1 schedule data — never any personal information. You can clear this cache at any time by clearing your browser's site data.

Hosting & Infrastructure

GridTime is hosted on Vercel. Vercel may log standard web server information (e.g. IP address, request path, timestamp) as part of their infrastructure operations. These logs are not accessible to GridTime and are governed by Vercel's Privacy Policy.

Changes to This Policy

If this policy changes, the "Last updated" date above will be revised. Since we collect no personal data, any changes are unlikely to affect you.
